Hello Class of '57, From Calvert (Tom) Jones:
Shortly after I got out of the military, I
married Audrey (Venable) Jones from Church
Point in 1965. We moved to Patterson,
Louisiana (small town next to Morgan City).
There I started a family construction business
(commercial and custom
homes) 40 years ago and I am still involved in
the business today, although I have been
planning to retire for the last several years. I
have a great fear of doing so, as I have seen
so many of my friends and results of retiring
after 3-4 years.
Aside from my grandshildrewn being the
center of my life and always entertaining
Audrey and me, hunting and fishing are still a
very big part of my life. Audrey and I have a
camp in Dulac, Louisiana where we spend
many weekends fishing together. We are in
good health and are doing great. I would gladly
live my life again and change nothing. I've
posted pictures of my life which are the family
( 3 daughters, 8 grand children), my wife and
me. Life has indeed been good!
I wish the best for the Class of '57 and hope
each of you has many more years in good
health. We hope to make the reunion, but if for
some reason we don't, it was very good to
hear from
you and read about the achievements of the
class of '57 on the tornado2007 website.
Thanks so much
