I attended MSU for 3 1/2 years majoring in Business
Ed. In Sept 1961 I married Myron. June 1962 our
first son Barry was born at Channault. We were
transferred to Beale AFB, in Marysville, CA where
our second son Greg was born in Feb 1964. In May
1964 Myron went to Vietnam and I came home and
lived with my parents and worked at Calcasieu
Marine Nat'l Bank in Sulphur. We went back to
Beale in 1965. In 1966 we were transferred to
Andersen AFB Guam. Son #3 Mark was born in 1967.
1968 had us back at Beale until 1970 when we
went to Taiwan for a couple years. November 1972
we went to Blaine Air Station In Blaine Washington.
In 1973 we went to Incirlik AB, Turkey. We were
there about 3 years when guess what we went back
to Beale in Marysville.
Finally after moving most of our career Myron
retired from the Air Force in 1978. We bought our
home here in Marysville for nine months. Gosh what
a long 9 months here it is 2007 and we still live at
the same address and have three great grand
children. Bryan is 19 and a freshman at Chico State
College here in California, Amanda is 17 and a
Junior at Marysville and Kristen is a freshman at
Marysville.
In 1979 Myron went to work for the Department of
Defense and in 1991 we went to Adak Island in the
Aleutian chain in Alaska for 3 years. In 1995 he
retired for the second time and after 14 years I left
the Bank of America. For the last 11 summers we
have been working in Yellowstone National Park.
We live in our RV during the summer while in the
Park. We will again be working at Grant Village near
the South entrance of the park. We celebrated out
45th anniversary this last September.
That about sums up the last 50 years of my life an
am so looking forward to "Coming Home" in April
